A rating for every sport you play, with singles and doubles apart.
Your rating is an Elo rating and everyone starts at 500. When you win, you take points from your opponent, and beating someone rated above you earns more. A one-sided score counts a little more than a close one.

How it works
Before a match, the gap between two ratings says how likely each side is to win. Beat the odds and you gain points, fall short and you lose some. Strong players gain little for beating a beginner, and new players move faster for their first fifteen matches while their rating finds its level. In doubles, each pair counts as the average of its two players.
Your rating only moves once the other side has confirmed the score. If a result is corrected later, every rating after that match is worked out again, so everyone ends up where the right score would have put them.
What one player gains, the other loses.
Ratings only move when points change hands between the two sides. A winning streak shows on your profile but earns no bonus points. A match played with a head start for one side is not rated. A walkover, a default or a no-show moves nothing, but a retirement counts, because a match was played. A rating never drops below zero, and there is no ceiling.
