What SetMatcher keeps in your browser, why, and for how long.

In short

No cookies. SetMatcher does not set a single one.
Nothing from another company unless you ask for it: no analytics, and no fonts or scripts from anybody else’s servers. Advertising is the one exception, and only where you have agreed to it in a question of its own.
One question: whether we may remember your choices on this device. Everything else listed here is needed for the service you use, so it is kept without asking.

Error reports

When a page breaks, this browser sends a technical report to our own server so we can fix it: the error, the page's address without anything after the question mark, your browser's name and version, and your last steps as page addresses and the kind of button pressed. Never what you typed or read, and not who you are. Reports are kept in our server's logs for 14 days.

Nothing is stored in your browser for this. It rests on our legitimate interest in a service that works (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), so you can object here. A report you send yourself with Report a problem is separate: it carries what you choose to include.

Advertising

Advertising is its own question, separate from the one on this page and never rolled into it: no advertising script is loaded at all until you have agreed to it, refusing is as easy as agreeing, and the answer is changed here or in your settings. Nothing about you is ever handed to an advertiser, and anybody on SetMatcher Plus sees no advertising anywhere, whatever they answer.
